IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

Today, I would like to tell you about the time I lost my phone, which was one of the most stressful experiences I've ever had.

It happened on a day when I was taking a taxi home after a busy day. My mind was preoccupied with a lot of things, and I wasn’t paying much attention to my belongings. When the taxi dropped me off at my apartment, I got out, paid the fare, and went inside without realizing that my phone was left on the back seat.

The cab drove off, and I unlocked the door to my apartment. It took me several minutes to notice that something important was missing — my phone, of all things! At first, I flew into a panic, unsure how to contact the driver or even remember which taxi company I had used. The thought that my phone might be gone forever made me feel completely helpless.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

After calming down a little, I decided to try calling my phone repeatedly. Fortunately, after several attempts, the driver picked up. I explained the situation and politely asked if he could return the phone to me. The driver was incredibly kind and agreed to bring it back.

Finally, there was a knock on my door. To my immense relief, it was the taxi driver holding my phone. I was smiling from ear to ear and offered him some money as a token of my gratitude. However, he refused, simply wished me a good night, and handed me my phone before leaving.

Looking back, this experience taught me to be more mindful of my belongings and also reminded me of the kindness of strangers, which truly restored my faith in humanity.

IV. Part 3

2.1. What kinds of people may lose things often?

People who are absent-minded (adj – đãng trí | easily forgetful or distracted) often tend to misplace their belongings.
They might be so wrapped up in their thoughts that they fail to pay attention to where they leave things.
Overwhelmed individuals (adj – bị choáng ngợp | mentally burdened or under too much stress) like working parents or students under pressure also lose items frequently.
This often stems from their tight schedules and the mental load of juggling multiple responsibilities.
For instance, a multitasking mother (compound noun – bà mẹ làm nhiều việc cùng lúc | a mother handling several tasks at once) might forget where she placed her phone while preparing breakfast and helping kids with homework.
Similarly, professionals with a hectic routine (compound noun – lịch trình bận rộn | very busy daily schedule) might forget important items like access cards or meeting notes.
In short, it's often not carelessness, but rather cognitive overload (noun – quá tải nhận thức | a state of having too much mental activity to process properly) that leads to frequent losses.
This issue can worsen when individuals don't have an organized lifestyle or fixed places to store their essentials.

2.2. What can we do to prevent losing important things?

One effective method is to develop a well-established habit (compound noun – thói quen cố định | a routine that is consistently practiced) of keeping things in the same spot every time.
For example, always putting your keys in a designated bowl near the door can reduce the risk of misplacement.
We can also make use of tech-savvy tools (compound adj – công nghệ cao | advanced technology-based tools) like Bluetooth trackers or smart wallets.
These allow us to locate lost items with our phones, which is incredibly convenient.
Another good habit is doing a mental checklist (compound noun – danh sách kiểm tra tinh thần | mentally reviewing essential items before leaving a place) before leaving home or the office.
This simple practice helps ensure that nothing essential is left behind.
Moreover, labeling valuable belongings can help others return them if found, especially in public settings.
By combining technology and habit-building, we can significantly lower the chances of losing important possessions.

2.3. What would you do if you saw something valuable that didn’t belong to you on the street?

First and foremost, I would check my surroundings to see if someone appeared to be frantically searching (adv + v – tìm kiếm trong lo lắng | looking around in a panic or distress) for the lost item.
If no one seemed to claim it, I would pick it up carefully and head to the nearest local authority (compound noun – cơ quan chức năng gần nhất | the closest official organization like police or community center).
Returning such items shows a strong sense of moral integrity (noun – sự chính trực đạo đức | the quality of doing the right thing even when it's not convenient).
For example, last year I found a high-end watch on the sidewalk and handed it to a community officer nearby.
It turned out it belonged to an elderly man who was incredibly thankful.>> tham khảo CẦN VIẾT & THU ÂM BAO NHIÊU BÀI ĐỂ ĐẠT 8.0 SPEAKING & 7.0 WRITING?
Doing the right thing can truly restore someone’s faith in humanity.
I believe acting responsibly in such cases fosters a more trustworthy and respectful society.
Keeping lost valuables would not just be unethical, but also weigh on one's conscience (noun – lương tâm | a person’s moral sense of right and wrong).

2.4. What kinds of things have you lost so far?

I’ve lost quite a few things over the years, ranging from trivial items (adj + noun – đồ vật nhỏ nhặt | unimportant things like pens or bus tickets) to more significant possessions.
For instance, I once left my wallet in a café, which contained important cards and some cash.
That situation made me realize how careless I had become in stressful times.
Even worse, I once lost my travel documents (compound noun – giấy tờ du lịch | passport, visa, and other official travel papers) during a trip abroad.
That experience was nerve-wracking and cost me a lot of time and energy to fix.
I’ve also misplaced everyday essentials (compound noun – đồ dùng thiết yếu hàng ngày | items like keys, phone, or glasses) on numerous occasions.
Now I try to be more mindful and adopt better organizational habits.
Each incident has been a learning experience, pushing me toward being more aware of my surroundings.

2.5. What do you usually do to look for lost items?

When I lose something, I try to stay composed (adj – giữ bình tĩnh | remain calm and not panic) rather than panic.
The first step is always to mentally retrace my steps (verb phrase – lần theo các bước trong đầu | think about where I’ve been and what I’ve done).
I try to recall the last time I had the item, narrowing down possible locations.
If I was in a public space, I would ask around or check the lost and found section (compound noun – khu vực đồ thất lạc | designated place for returned items).
At home, I usually check high-traffic areas (compound noun – khu vực hay qua lại | places I spend the most time in like the kitchen or living room) first.
Gradually, I move to the less obvious spots, like under furniture or between couch cushions.
Sometimes, taking a short break helps me think more clearly and spot the item faster.
Overall, patience and logical thinking are essential when dealing with lost belongings.
