Describe a time when you spend time with a child.

You should say:

• Who the Child is
• How you know him/her
• Why you spent time with him/her
• And explain what you did when you were together

• Who the Child is
  • The child I spent time with is my cousin, who is five years old.
• How you know him/her
  • I know him because he is the son of my mother's sister.

• Why you spent time with him/her
  • The reason I spent time with him was because my aunt and uncle had to go out of town for the day, and they needed someone to look after him. 
  • Since I was free that day, I offered to spend time with him and take care of him.
• And explain what you did when you were together - When we were together, we did a lot of different things.
  • Main idea 1: I took him to the park, where we played on the swings and went down the slide. 
    • Supporting idea: 
      • When my cousin first got on the swing, he was a little bit nervous and unsure of himself. 
      • However, after a few minutes of swinging back and forth, he began to gain confidence and started to experiment with different ways of moving his body. 
      • By the end of our time at the park, he was able to swing on his own and was having a great time. 
    • Example: 
  • Main idea 2: We played board games, did some coloring and drawing, and watched some cartoons on TV
    • Supporting idea: 
      • By playing board games, doing art activities, and watching cartoons together, my cousin and I were able to share fun experiences and create happy memories.

    • Example: 
      • While we were coloring together, my cousin asked me about the colors I was using and why I had chosen them. 
      • We talked about how different colors can create different moods and emotions, and my cousin even started to experiment with different color combinations on his own.
