Today, I would like to tell you about my primary-school teacher, who taught me how to swim when I was a child. She was incredibly patient and encouraging, so I still remember the experience vividly.
The skill she taught me was swimming, which I had always wanted to learn because I was fascinated by the water but was also quite afraid of it. At that time, I was a rather apprehensive beginner (người mới bắt đầu lo lắng – a beginner who feels nervous or uncertain about learning something), so even getting into the pool was a challenge for me.
She taught me in a very gradual and hands-on way. First, she showed me how to control my breathing and stay afloat (giữ cơ thể nổi trên mặt nước – remain floating on the surface of water) before moving on to kicking and arm movements. She never rushed me; instead, she broke the skill down into bite-sized steps (những bước nhỏ, dễ tiếp thu – small and manageable stages) and constantly reassured me whenever I felt nervous. I still remember how she would demonstrate each movement herself and then ask me to give it a shot (thử làm điều gì đó – attempt to do something) until I became more confident.>> 🔥 Nhắn zalo 0905834420 join group zalo Hóng đề thi máy 4 skills để cập nhật đề thi thật 4 kĩ năng hằng ngày [Kèm giải & đề làm online]
I think this skill has been important for two main reasons. First, it gave me a sense of self-confidence (sự tự tin – belief in my own abilities) and taught me that even something that initially seems intimidating can become manageable through consistent practice (sự luyện tập đều đặn – regular and persistent practice); for example, after several weeks of practice, I could swim across the pool without anyone holding me, which was a real confidence booster (điều làm tăng sự tự tin – something that makes someone feel more confident). Second, swimming is a life-saving skill (kỹ năng cứu mạng – a skill that can help protect someone from drowning), so it has given me a greater sense of safety whenever I’m around water. More importantly, the experience taught me a broader life lesson: persistence pays off (sự kiên trì sẽ mang lại kết quả – continued effort eventually produces good results), because I learned that making slow progress is still progress as long as I don’t give up.
