You should say:

• what you bought
• when and where you bought it
• why you chose this particular thing

and explain why you liked it so much.

• what you did with it after you brought it home
  • One thing which caught my attention was a miniature of Taj Mahal, which was made of pure Marble. In fact, It looked so elegant that without giving a second thought, I immediately purchased it as a gift for my mother. 
• and explain why you think it was something special.
  • 2 reasons:
    • It is worth buying a souvenir representing a deep love of an emperor towards his queen. (The Taj Mahal symbolizes the love of a Mughal emperor Shahjahan to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal)
    • When I gave this memorial to my mom, she was over the moon to see an exceptionally beautiful thing
