IELTS TUTOR gợi ý bài tham khảo:

Today, I would like to tell you about a plan I had to change at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances.

I originally planned a week-long hiking trip (week-long – kéo dài một tuần – lasting for seven days) with my closest friends during the summer holiday.

However, we had to cancel it because one friend experienced a family emergency (family emergency – tình huống khẩn cấp trong gia đình – an unexpected and urgent personal issue), and the weather forecast predicted a torrential downpour (torrential downpour – mưa như trút nước – extremely heavy rainfall).

Instead of hiking, we decided to take a spur-of-the-moment (spur-of-the-moment – quyết định bộc phát – done without planning) trip to a beachside villa, which was more relaxed and indoor-oriented (indoor-oriented – chủ yếu ở trong nhà – focused on indoor activities like cooking and games).>> tham khảo CẦN VIẾT & THU ÂM BAO NHIÊU BÀI ĐỂ ĐẠT 8.0 SPEAKING & 7.0 WRITING?

At first, I felt quite let down because I was genuinely looking forward to challenging myself on rugged trails and reconnecting with nature (reconnect with nature – hòa mình với thiên nhiên – spend time outdoors to relax and escape modern life).
However, the new plan ended up being surprisingly enjoyable and emotionally rewarding (emotionally rewarding – thỏa mãn về mặt cảm xúc – providing deep satisfaction or happiness).

First of all, spending time together indoors gave us a chance to have deep, meaningful conversations, which we rarely had before. For instance, one night, we stayed up late talking about our dreams and worries, which truly strengthened our friendship bonds.

Secondly, I realized how important it is to remain flexible and open-minded (flexible and open-minded – linh hoạt và cởi mở – willing to adapt to change) when plans fall apart.
If we had stubbornly stuck to the hiking plan, we might have been trapped in the rain and not enjoyed ourselves at all. Instead, this change turned out to be a blessing in disguise (blessing in disguise – may mắn trong rủi ro – something that seems bad at first but ends up being good), making the experience even more memorable than expected.

❓Why do parents plan for children?

Many parents plan carefully for their children to secure a better future by providing them with stable financial and emotional support.
One main reason is that they want to ensure their child’s well-being (well-being – EN: state of being healthy and happy / VN: sức khỏe và hạnh phúc) from an early age.
For example, parents often open long-term savings accounts (long-term savings accounts – EN: bank accounts meant for saving money over a long period / VN: tài khoản tiết kiệm dài hạn) to prepare for education or emergencies.
Another reason is to provide structured guidance so children can develop in a balanced manner.
Parents often create educational roadmaps (educational roadmap – EN: a detailed plan for a child’s learning path / VN: lộ trình giáo dục) to help them thrive academically.
This is especially common in middle-class households that prioritize education and emotional growth.
Moreover, having a well-thought-out plan (well-thought-out – EN: carefully planned / VN: được lên kế hoạch kỹ lưỡng) can prevent unnecessary setbacks later in life.
All in all, planning reflects both parental responsibility and their desire for their children to have a fulfilling life.

❓How does technology help with planning?

Technology has revolutionized (revolutionize – EN: change something completely and dramatically / VN: cách mạng hóa) the way people plan both short-term tasks and long-term goals.
One benefit is that digital planning tools (digital planning tools – EN: apps or software for organizing tasks / VN: công cụ lập kế hoạch kỹ thuật số) like Google Calendar or Notion help users stay on top of deadlines and schedules.
These platforms offer real-time reminders and allow easy collaboration across devices, making coordination seamless.>> IELTS TUTOR hướng dẫn PHÂN TÍCH ĐỀ THI 30/5/2020 IELTS WRITING TASK 2 (kèm bài sửa HS đạt 6.5)
Moreover, technology enables data-driven decision making (data-driven – EN: based on factual data / VN: dựa trên dữ liệu) by tracking habits, expenses, or even health patterns.
For instance, parents can use budgeting apps to allocate funds efficiently for their kids’ education or healthcare.
Another advantage is cloud-based systems (cloud-based – EN: stored and accessed online / VN: dựa trên điện toán đám mây) which allow users to access their plans anytime, anywhere.
Even students can benefit from AI-powered study planners that adapt to their learning pace.
All things considered, technology has become an indispensable tool (indispensable – EN: absolutely necessary / VN: không thể thiếu được) for modern-day planning.

❓Do old/young people often change plans?

In my view, both old and young people change plans, but their reasons vary considerably.
Young people are more likely to change plans due to impulsive decisions (impulsive – EN: acting without thinking / VN: bốc đồng), such as going on a sudden trip or switching careers.
Their dynamic lifestyle and desire for exploration often lead them to deviate from their original intentions.
For example, a university student might drop out to pursue a startup idea.
In contrast, older people usually change plans because of health concerns or family obligations, rather than spontaneity.
Their life is generally more structured, so any deviation tends to be well-justified.
Nonetheless, both age groups benefit from adaptability, which is essential in today’s fast-changing world.
Ultimately, the frequency of plan changes depends more on personality and circumstances than just age.
