II. Bài mẫu IELTS Speaking Part 1 chủ đề Borrowing and Lending Things

❓ Have you ever borrowed books from others?

Yes, I used to borrow books quite often, especially during my school days when I couldn’t afford brand-new (English: completely new and unused / Vietnamese: mới tinh, chưa từng sử dụng) textbooks.
My best friend always lent me her well-annotated (English: containing many useful notes / Vietnamese: có nhiều chú thích hữu ích) copies, which made it easier for me to understand complicated lessons.
One time, I borrowed a hard-to-find (English: rare or difficult to obtain / Vietnamese: hiếm, khó tìm) novel that helped me ace my literature exam.
For students on a tight budget, sharing books is a practical and cost-effective (English: saving money / Vietnamese: tiết kiệm chi phí) solution.>> Form đăng kí giải đề thi thật IELTS 4 kĩ năng kèm bài giải bộ đề 100 đề PART 2 IELTS SPEAKING quý đang thi (update hàng tuần) từ IELTS TUTOR

❓ Do you like to lend things to others?

I do, but only when I trust wholeheartedly (English: trust completely / Vietnamese: tin tưởng hoàn toàn) the person I’m lending to.
Helping someone out can strengthen our long-lasting (English: enduring for a long time / Vietnamese: lâu dài, bền vững) connection and show a sense of generosity.
For example, I once lent my limited-edition (English: produced in small quantity / Vietnamese: phiên bản giới hạn) headphones to a classmate preparing for a language contest, and she returned them in perfect condition with a thank-you card.
However, I usually set boundaries (English: define limits / Vietnamese: đặt ra giới hạn) to avoid being taken for granted.

❓ How do you feel when people don't return things they borrowed from you?

Honestly, I feel extremely let down (English: disappointed / Vietnamese: thất vọng), because it shows a lack of common courtesy (English: basic respect or politeness / Vietnamese: phép lịch sự cơ bản).
It makes me think twice (idiom – English: reconsider carefully / Vietnamese: cân nhắc kỹ lưỡng) before handing over (phrasal verb – English: giving something / Vietnamese: đưa cho) anything to them in the future.
For instance, a classmate borrowed my umbrella during a thunderstorm and never gave it back, which I considered a serious breach of trust (English: violation of confidence / Vietnamese: sự phá vỡ lòng tin).
From then on, I became more selective (English: careful when choosing / Vietnamese: chọn lọc, kỹ lưỡng) about who I lend my belongings to.
